“Three minutes”, the book by Andrea Cirino presented at the Cloister of the Town Hall
AGRIGENTO – A book that traverses pain, memory and redemption. The new work by Andrea Cirino is entitled “Tre minuti” and will be presented on Friday 20 June at 18:00 in the evocative Cloister of the Palazzo Comunale in Agrigento.
The initiative, sponsored by the Municipality of Agrigento and included in the calendar of Agrigento Italian Capital of Culture 2025 , will see the participation of numerous personalities from the institutional, cultural and journalistic world. Alongside the author will be: Enza Gaziano , president of the Bar Association, Salvatore Pezzino and Luigi Roberto Mula , journalists, Anna Puci , director of the Petrusa prison, Stefano Papa , director of the External Penal Enforcement Office, Luigi Mazzocchio , prison chaplain, and Beniamino Biondi , writer, essayist and literary critic.
The journalist Domenico Vecchio will coordinate the proceedings, while the institutional greetings will be entrusted to the mayor Francesco Miccichè . The evening will be enriched by the readings of the actor and director Franco Bruno , with a reception by Savatteri Produzione .
“Tre minuti” is published by Francesco Tozzuolo Editore and features a cover designed by maestro Silvio Benedetto . Special thanks also go to the bookshop Il Mercante di Libri by Alessandro Accurso Tagano.
The event represents not only a significant cultural moment, but also a collective reflection on the themes of justice, redemption and the human meaning of punishment, with the active participation of those who work daily in the prison system and in places of social fragility.
